The pretty pink Schwinn Jasmine is the perfect first bike for little girls. Made with a strong, tubular steel frame, the bike is extremely durable and stable, even on uneven sidewalks or bumpy paths. Its big 3-inch Super Street white tires on double-wide rims provide added stability for the beginning rider, while the heavy-duty training wheels offer confidence as she learns to balance and maneuver. The low stand-over S-shaped frame makes mounting and dismounting easy and safe. Other features include a cushioned saddle, safety pads and a slick full top-wrap chain guard to keep pants and laces from getting caught in the chain. The bicycle was delivered very quickly after ordering it. It's a sweet-looking bicycle and my 5 year old loved the look of it. It does look absolutely perfect for a little girl. It seemed to weigh a ton so she had trouble pedalling. She's a strong, sporty girl but so even an adult or bigger child had to push her a lot of the time. The bicycle itself was too heavy to pedal for a long time. We were on flat ground not a hilly area.

Quality kid's bike
This bike is heavy duty and really has great features. The pedals can be used for braking and there are hand brakes. My 4 year old got this for her birthday and took off on it. The only issue we have had is the training wheels have to be really cranked tightly so they don't slip.

Great 1st Bike for 4yrs old and up!
We purchased this bike for our 4yr old daughter. We chose a Schwinn because of its reputation and quality and we were not disappointed. The bike is extremly well built and sturdy (3" wheels) and will last for many years to come. Our daughter loves the coloring, tassels and the zippered pouch to hold all of her knick-knacks. The only thing that I did not pick-up on when ordering the bike is that it does not come with "BMX" tires... only smooth ones. So heads up if you live in the country like we do. However, with 3" tires, this bike can go just about anywhere.
