This was a great bike! The best bike i have EVER rode. It rides smooth, runs fast. Everything about it is great! It’s really light weight. I just love it! But be sure to get it tuned up at a bike shop because even after assembly it is out of tune. So it is STRONGLY recommended you get it tuned. Other than that, this is A GREAT BIKE. I definetly recommend it. Great for 5′ 6″ to 6′ 3″
I am so satisfied with the money i spent. This is definetly worth it. I strongly recommend getting this.

I was pleasantly surprised.

I'm a college student and I use this bike to commute. It's a little heavy, so going up hills is pretty tough. I'm not a bike fanatic either so having a decent, affordable bike that I could get from point A to point B and maybe run around the university town with was crucial. This bike fit that criteria. This is a great ride, but once I get some money I might go for a better performance bike.

Niagara shipped these right away. I think I got them in two days in CA. They are super high quality and even come with the hex wrench to tighten the little bolts - if you use the new ones and not your old screws. The problem for me is that size L is really a size M or even a little smaller. My shoes do not fit in them and they are at least 1/4 inch shorter than the L sized plastic ones they are to replace. I hope hey make an XL MKS sized version. I don't see it on Amazon.

This was my first actual bike after a number of years being on a crappy walmart bike that ended up falling apart while riding it. Anyways, being that this is my first road bike, I'm not going to be a very good judge of everything, but this bike seems to definentally be worth the 0 I have invested in it. It looks great and goes fast for costing as little as it does. People had mentioned making sure to go and get your bike tuned right off the bat which would be a very good idea, but what I ended up doing was just watching a bunch of youtube videos to figure out how to do it myself. After watching those, I was able to tune the bike myself fairly easily and for free since I already had the tools available. I think that watching those videos also helped with installing the front brake caliper since you get to see how it should work on other bikes and other people mentioned having trouble figuring out how to put it on. I have already encountered the problem of getting flats and happened to have both tires go flat on one of my first bike rides. I think it is more attributed to me going over a bump to fast, but noticed when I took the old tubes out that they had been pinched by the tire. I would recommend just making sure that the tube is correctly put into the tire and wheel assembly so you don't have to "flintsone" your bike home. Overall, a great bike for the amount of money that it costs. I am sure that you could get a better bike by spending 0, but for what it's worth, I'm just going to stick with this bike.

GMC Topkick Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike

This is a good bike - the best feature is the dual suspension. Light and easy dropping off curbs on the way to work - huge difference from my hardtail mountain bike.

Disc brakes are nice to have, on front and rear - work much better than rim brakes. To adjust them hold the brake lever in and tight them down via a hex wrench on the opposite center of the disc brake until the pads are flush against the disc, then turn back until the brake lever has enough play in it.

The rims are v-shaped, and narrow - much more so than my other bikes. It was quite a job to add to Tuffy liners to the tires. I think I will have a bike shop change the tire next time they need it. The hard part is getting the tire off and on those narrow rims. The people at REI said to squeeze on the sides of the tire as you put it on, so both ends go deep into the rim.

Be careful when you put the front tire on that you have the fork facing forward. (I had it backwards the first time). Make sure the big round points on U part of the fork point towards the front of the bike.

The tires are very knobby. If you ride on the street a lot you might want to change them to something with a smoother Tread in the middle.

The bike weighs 38 pounds put together - not exactly light, but since I ride for pleasure and exercise, and do not plan to race, the weight is fine.

If you get it for less than 150, (what Amazon is selling it for the week of Feb 20), it is quite a bargain. (disc brakes by themselves often add $ 100 to a bike).

I raised the seat pretty high for a comfortable ride at my height, and found the handlebars are two low. I fixed this by adding some handlebar extenders which allow me to be more upright when I am not braking.

To my knowledge you can not raise the stem on the handlebars without adding a spacer. If anyone finds out otherwise, please comment to this post

Another possibility (besides handlebar extensions), would be to replace the handlebar with one that has more of a rise to it.

The Topkick is made by Kent Bicycle Company for GMC. They also make some Cadillac Mountain Bikes - the Cadillac AM2.4 and AM2.7, which are sold on Amazon. They are both dual suspension with disc brakes and have a very similar frame as the Topkick. Both bikes sale for over $ 1000

This is a good product. It is their task is to lift the front wheel of my bike on the way, while I was with my trainer. As previous reviews, the "climbing" aspect of this product only with the stacking of two of each other on a hill. My goal with the block was to the front wheel, so I stuck with only one. I have noticed that the block is sometimes caught or hook on the carpet burbur it sits on, by a few minor adjustments, inter alia, by a smooth mat underneath. I can not say I notice a difference in the various positions on the block, so I just keep it in the same slot each time. I too would like there were numbers or indicators for each slot to indicate position. Overall I like the product.

This purchase is my first disappointment, dealing with a dealer Amazon. Do not waste your money on these items. Why? Because:

a. This item has small pieces that are easy to lose
b. Assembly required
c. Assembly instructions are sparse and written by someone for whom English is a third language

Article, the installation instructions should be provided by someone who understands English when in an English speaking country.

Good Looking rack may not fit your bike

The rack looks good and is robust, but even though Amazon says: "This rack fits almost any bike and is one of the racks are best for the price, 815g with hardware" - this is not true.
We tried it on a vibration bike - hardly an unknown brand - and the rack with the necessary parts.
To your back with this rack, you must have 2 predrilled holes and threaded at the upper end of the rear fork, or you must go and find somewhere adapter bracket, they do not deliver.
So Amazon's writeup on this rack is very misleading, and its so bad the producers did not think about the adapter brackets so that they really fit often bicycles.

Very little comfort

I have this seat cover for my spinning class after that was with me by my teacher. The one I received was great and provided a lot of comfort and (unfortunately, I do not know the brand that they are included). I have this cover that night come home and hope for similar results. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. It provides very little cushion or comfort. I would recommend purchasing a seat for the other is what I have to do now.

I hope all of you reading invest in it...it is definitely worth it. Just a note of advice, it comes with a c clamp, but the bicycle shop was able to change the seats for me and we never had to use the clamp. ENJOY IT!!

Definitely very cushioned and more than comfortable. It fits easily yet snugly on the Schwinn stationary bikes used for Cycle class at my fitness center. I've had other seat covers that were difficult to stretch over and around the entire seat. I did once forgot to tie the cord off, behind the cord locking mechanism and cord did loosen and seat popped off during class. However, with proper tying performance is everything it should be.

These tire levers are thicker than usual, making them very easy to use and helpful for both taking the tires of my mountain bike putting them back on. My only complaint is that you only get 2 of them (generally tire levers come in 3's), but this isn't a big deal and they still work fine.

Customer Review: Work better than thinner ones

I first changed my tube last week with some other levers from my local bike store, one of them broke and I finally replaced the tube after about 30 minutes (with the help of my girlfriend) and after many blisters, we got it done. I should also say, i have those tires made with kevlar, so they get tough to put around the rim towards the last part. I tried these yesterday with another flat I got, and it only took me about 8 minutes, tops, and it was much easier than last time. These work really good.

Second, the cable is relatively long compared to most bike locks I see and allows you to wrap it easily around thicker poles/trees, or lock several bicycles together. Third, the velcro straps make it very easy to attach the lock to your bike to store while riding. (After trial and error, I discovered it worked best on my bicycle to strap it to the handlebars.)

Would this lock stop a determined thief with heavy-duty bolt-cutters? Probably not, but little would. For the price, I think this lock is an exceptional value and highly satisfying.

Customer Review: Junk. Almost ruined my vacation.

This thing is a nice looking piece of junk. I set my combo and used it to lock 2 bikes to the bike rack on my car when I went on vacation. At our first stop, it worked just fine. But when we reached our final destination, the lock was somehow "stuck" and would not come open.

We tried everything - we moved each digit of the combo up one and down one, we wiggled, we jiggled, we spun the tumblers and retried again and again, but it would not open. Something internally had gone wrong with the lock during the journey, and our bikes were now "trapped" on the car. As I did all of this, and the sun began to set, I was filled with a growing sense of dread that my vacation was gonna be ruined by some cheap crummy bike lock.

After full desperation set in, I ended up cutting through the cable with a pair of snipers I borrowed off a stranger. Once I finally resolved to take this "drastic step," however, it was surprisingly easy. Of course, this makes me wonder how much I was really protected by this thing in the first place.

In the end, this $13 piece of crap almost ended up ruining my vacation - and the only thing that saved me was the fact that it's not very good protection from theft in the first place. Bah.

Very good product. Came in two 2 oz. bottles, not one 4-ounce bottle, but that's fine. The oil itself is high quality, thin, but not watery. After oiling the chain link by link, there was practically no wipe-up - the oil was absorbed quickly and completely into the rivets. With a weekly oiling, I expect the 4 ounces to last the better part of a year or more. Good value.

Customer Review: Good lock, small size can be a problem

I purchased this OnGuard Pitbull MINI DT 5008 lock after extensive research on the best locks and locking techniques available. I decided to use the Sheldon Brown method, which requires you to lock your back wheel to a rack or parking meter, making sure you pass through the rear triangle of the frame. A mini u-lock is recommended as it is harder for thieves to work with. However, the lock is so small that, depending where I can find to lock up, I can't get it to close using the Sheldon Brown technique and have to lock up somewhat more insecurely. The cable, while not capable of doing battle with a bolt cutter, is great for locking down my seat post - especially comforting given the rash of bike seat thefts in my area. The 5 included keys are handy so I can leave one at work, home, carry one, etc. Overall, a good value and exactly as described. I just wish I had bought a slightly larger lock given the dimensions of my bike/wheel and what I have to lock to.

Several aspects of the Bulldog MINI U-Lock make it a very good choice for the commuter in areas where moderate security is adequate. First, the lock is compact, easy to transport in most types of bike-mounted bags or packs, or on the frame mount (not used by this reviewer). The compact size is just right for a single point connection of a frame component to a heavy duty 'U' rack or a parking meter. It won't fit around the trunks of even small street trees - this is not usually a problem, since street signs and other urban elements offer plenty of casual anchorage points in most areas when bike racks are missing or full. Second, the lock is light-weight by U-lock standards, so it won't feel like a ship's anchor in your bike bag or on the mount. Third, the plastic finish coat and end caps are easy on your bike. And fourth, the five keys including a lighted key that are provided with the lock offer more lost or spare key convenience than is probably warranted.

In all, a solid, economical choice.

This set uses normal AA and AAA batteries, unlike other sets out there.
Beamer 1 (front): Easy to mount to handlebars with included mount. Also easy to remove as a flashlight. Uses two included AA batteries.
Blinky 3 (rear): Excellent rear light with 3 LEDs. Uses two included AAA batteries. With included mounts, it attaches to the seat post or to a thin rear frame. Unlike the front light, the rear acts as a reflector when turned off. When you want to remove it for security, it's just a click and a slide, and it turns into a clip light, similar to a belt clip.
For some reason, one click on the front light sets it to blink, and two clicks is a steady light. It's the opposite for the rear light. Oops!

I've liked this light very much. The attachment straps worked surprisingly well. The plastic loops which sit atop the bike helmet have a velcro strap fed which adjusts to the size and shape of the helmet mounting slots. Those plastic loops have an opening on their outside edge which I expected would make the mounting flimsy or likely to disconnect. I've been pleasantly surprised that in about 2 weeks of daily commuting to and from work they have not shown any sign of detaching from the bike.

This light is fantastic! Simple to install, very sturdy and solid, and brighter than bright! I think the side lights are a great feature, giving terrific visibility even in the darkest dark. I keep it on the chase mode which to me is better than flashing, keeping one of the LEDs lit at all times. I recommend this light very highly for great visibility and for its solid construction.

the tail light attach system is not strong enough for mountain biking demands, the hook to attach it broke at third ride. the headlight is too big, the light is dim. The reflections of the leds in the clear front end interferes with your vision.... take a look at the design, the clear plastic allows to spill out the light in a more than 180 degrees, and not to the front,

Falls apart within weeks!

I'm a fan of planet bike products but not this one! The rear light fell off the clamp that attaches it to the post the second time out. The front light doesn't blink so it goes through batteries faster. I had to change the batteries while out one night. I hadn't screwed the cover on tight enough. It fell off and broke in pieces. And I bought it a month ago!!!!!

The 3-LED taillight is good. With blink and steady modes it gets the job done.
The headlight is not an LED, and is rather dim even with fresh batteries. As other reviewers have said, the battery life is poor. Riding in near darkness is the only time you will even see the light emitted by the headlight, and if that's the case it obviously isn't emitting enough light to help you stay safe.
Next time, I'm going to spend the extra $5 and get an LED headlight.

After careful research, I found this lock to be the best value -- strong and well-priced. I sent it to my son at college. After using it for a few days, he was unable to open it for a few days in a row, he said. Then one day he got it to work. He used it for a few days and then he could not open it when he stuck the key in again. It was just jambed shut. After about two weeks of trouble, he bought another lock. I am not sure if he just got a lemon or if there is an inherent problem with this lock.

Nice U bolt lock and short cable for the money.
Added lock graphite powder to the lock because the pin tumblers seemed dry.
The key is keyed so it will only slide in one way, i.e it is not symmetrical. Used
fingernail polish to mark one side of the key and marked the side of the
lock near keyhole so I could tell how to insert it.

This is first bicycle computer I've had and was quiet surprised how small and light this thing is.
The speed accuracy is also impressive (I've checked it with police radars on streets).
From all the positive things about this computer there are a few negatives:

1) it has no light - can't use in the dark

2) it's clock is incredibly inaccurate (I've set it up with atomic clock, after 3 months it was 4 minutes late).

3) you have to reset trip data when timer hits about 27 hours or 999.99 km otherwise instead of average speed it shows "E" (error).

4) if magnet left next to the transmitter (odds are very slim, one should buy a lottery ticket if that happens) the computer doesn't go standby

5) very hard take the unit off the bracket without pressing the button
These 5 cons are very minor for not buying this computer.
I would recommend it to my friends.

I was really impressed by the scope and brightness of this light, on the first night...and have come to love it even more, over a few weeks. It not only produces a strong and broad beam, but the battery life is quite long. I am a bike-commuter, and rely on my lights everyday. this one has not failed me yet, and it even got left on the bike in a couple of rainstorms. I just replaced the original batteries after 6 or 7 weeks of daily use.

I have never worn bike shorts before so I didn't know what to expect and because I don't ride evey single day, I didn't see the point of spending a ton of money. These shorts feel great and ride very well. They are comfortable, don't bunch up in the seat and the pad that comes with it feels great when riding. I would recomend these to a novice or a seasoned rider. Another feature is these shorts have the recomended eight panel construction; an important feature to look for. All in all, great price comfortable ride.

While I haven't had this seat quite as long as several of the riders doing reviews on it, one thing that became immediately apparent to me was it is one of the most uncomfortable seats I have every ridden if not properly adjusted!

That being said, I really have to state that with taking the time to properly adjust the seat it is really a great seat and quite comfortable. Like a couple of other people mentioned, it does take a bit of time and a few trial & error attempts to get it just right. At least it did for me. I just took my seat adjustment wrenches with me and stopped and adjusted till I got it right. It was well worth the effort as it is now a pleasure to ride.

First off, I'd like to say I own both Planet Bike Beamer 3 and 5. I bought them both from Amazon when they were both priced at about 16 bucks. I've taken both lights out to compare how they would perform. Both lights are very bright and will force cars, joggers, and anyone to notice you. I would say they are the perfect light for urban use and a minimum for suburban use. They light up the road relatively well from 10-20 feet away from you. They both have flashing and constant on modes. Flashing in both models seem to be brighter than constant on.
I do prefer the Planet Bike Beamer 3 over the 5 though. When comparing the two, the 5 seems to scatter the light a little bit. Let me try to explain; when using both lights shining against a wall, they both project a circle, same size and brightness. But with the 5, the outer edge looks fuzzy. With the 3, the circumference of the circle is very solid and sharp. Also the light color on the 3 is more white colored light, while the color on the 5 is slightly blue(er). This gives the 3 more usable light on the streets. From my own perspective, the 5 isn't necessarily brighter than the 3 either. Battery life, I have not tested. I do recommend the 3 over the 5, especially for people looking for a bike light under 20 bucks. Thanks for reading, I hope this helps.

I really enjoy this light, but feel like I could use a second. I know a lot of people here in Portland who only use this as their front bike light and it works great: nice and bright. For the price, I really don't think that it can be beat.

That said, however, it could use to have a bigger face to make the light spread a little larger and be cut farther open on the sides so cars approaching laterally can see the biker more easily.
Still, it's a great light!

I absolutely love these baskets. I bought two sets, one for me and one for my partner. We no longer drive so some sort of storage was a must and these work beautifully. Combined there's more than enough room for all our groceries, or anything else we've needed so far. That includes bags of potting soil, live plants, large bags of glass bottles, crushed cans, newspaper bundles, and even a belt sander and an oven rack!

They were very easy to install. Sometimes the folding hinges get stuck a little but I bet a bit of WD40 would fix that if it started to really bother me.

I can't imagine anything else even coming close being able to handle all the things I strap into and onto my bike and then still giving me that nice slimness when I have nothing to carry at all. These are great.

Customer Review: Just what I wanted

This trainer is great. I have a basic trek mountain fat tire bike and it fits perfectly on the trainer. I was all ready to buy a real spinning cycle but decided to try this instead mostly due to space in my studio apt.I love spinning and I was having a hard time justifying two bikes in my small apt. I will address some of the points made by other posters:

The noise factor: yes,noisy but not THAT bad. I use to have a treadmill and that was noisy as well. If I spin during odd hours, I use the IPOD. Otherwise I blare my stereo. You can get the music loud enough to drown the noise out. I never got complaints from any neighbors when I had the treadmill. Its only 30-45 minutes anyway. If you are doing more than that, its not necessary anyway (speaking as a certified trainer).I suppose you could purchase the road tire to eliminate noise, but I just don't think its worth it. Also, If I want to take a quick ride outside, I would have to change my tire. Changing a tire for this trainer is not necessary. They told me at a bike shop once, that I could not use my fat tire on one these trainers. Its all about whether you can take the noise or not, I guess.

It comes fully assembled, really easy to slip your bike into. Easy to take bike off quickly as well, for a ride outside.

Workout is just like being on spinning cycle at the gym except if you try to do the lifts off the seat, like they do in the classes. It may be my bike, but it wasn't fluid when I tried this. This does not bother me.

If you put the bike on carpet, you do not need the front tire lifter/stablizer. The rear tire is not so high that you feel you are falling forward. If I had hardwood, I would get some kind of mat or get the front tire lifter just to keep the front tire stable.

Lastly, I am hard on any cardio equipment, meaning my workouts are intense and fast. This trainer keeps the bike very stable.

Another item that might help is getting peddle straps to keep feet from slipping forward. This item is also not necessary, but helpful.

Customer Review: Basically as advertised

This trainer arrives all put together which is nice -- just add a bike and you're off. It seems very stable although with the rear tire off the floor a good 3 inches it helps to also boost the front tire with a couple books or a large dictionary. I agree with previous reviewers that smooth tires make considerably less noise than knobbies. So far, the only shortcoming is the lack of adjustable resistance as it is very easy to reach the upper limit. Adjusting the rear brakes to rub slightly might be a solution.

Essentially, for a trainer that lets you pedal indoors this one is an easy choice, but the lack of adjustable resistance may have some cyclists looking elsewhere.

Customer Review: Near-Perfect option for parents of small children

Some history. I own a Burley Solo Trailer, I have used the rear mounted child carriers, and I was a professional bicycle mechanic for 6 years. This is a great product with just a few drawbacks.

First the Pros:

- This is heads an shoulders more stable than a rear mounted child carrier

- Child interaction and supervision

- Fun

- Safer than a rear-mounted carrier

- Ease of mounting could not get much better

Cons:

- This is not for short riders. People under 5'8" will have trouble reaching the handlebars

- The safety harness is horrible but there are some relatively cheap and simple fixes to this problem.

- Safety of child *may* be slightly lower than a trailer style carrier (see notes below)

Installation Tips:

- I would recommend using this on a bike that has "riser" handlebars. The rise in the bar gives extra clearance for the children's legs/feet when getting them in/out of the carrier.

- Grease the threads of the stinger bolts. Grease is always a good thing, and since you are threading into steel you don't want the bolts to corrode.

Strap Modifications:

I would recommend using a baby-seat sternum clip commonly found on Graco SnugRide seats to help keep the straps positioned on your child. Without these, the straps just fall off the child's shoulder and flop down, basically doing nothing once they have fallen off. The strap material on this seat is CHEAP and could use some improvements. This is my biggest gripe.

Getting you kiddo in and out....

-As others have mentioned, putting the safety strap on is only possible without the helmet.

-I would also recommend that you carry shoes seperately and let them go barefoot. The shoes are what get caught under the handlebars and it can be more than uncomfortable if their legs get stuck.

The Burley is generally a safer device simply by design. It generally won't tip over if you do, it has side and top roll-bars to prevent contact with the child and the cement, it has a lower center of gravity which affects the steering none-at-all, and it trails behind with a huge flag letting motorists know that you have a child and to keep their distance. The iBert has none of these things.... but I still use the iBert 10 out of 10 times. Why? I am an accomplished cyclist and still have great control even with the small added weight on the bike's stem so I feel I am **more** manuverable than if I had a trailer. I can fit through smaller spaces, am more agile, can turn, stop and accelerate faster with the iBert than with the trailer. This perhaps negates some of the safety benefits of the Burley. I run 2 rear flashers (even in the day) to help motorists see me which I think helps address rearward visibiltiy issues. Burly trailers have a tendancy to throw up dirt and grit into you childs face because of their placement behind the rear wheel. In addition, if the child is shorter, when wearing a helmet, the seatback forces their helmet and head downwards making it not only uncomfortable but also painful (imagine a bumpy ride with your head being forced downwards while being pelted with road dirt and sand).

I recommend this product without reservation even given its limitations and rider contstraints. The one thing I am NOT looking forward to is putting my child back into the burley when she exceeds the weight limit of the iBert. I seriously doubt she will want to sit in the back once she has a taste of sitting "shotgun".

Customer Review: Good Safety Lights

These are a little bit smaller than what I had expected but does it's job for one of our adult bikes. It came with 3 bracket mounts, I believe they're all different sizes. I used the two bigger ones. One was too big, but it also comes with 3 rubber rings to put inside the brackets, so when I used one of those it fits fine. All you need is a philips screwdriver to get them on.

These lights work well, seem to be sturdy in construction and one battery seems to last quite a while. I'm very pleased with them but I couldn't give them 5 stars due to the design of the white light.

I had been using them for about a week and had to take an extra early ride in to work. It was my first when it was dark out. When I turned on the white light on the handlebars it shone in a wide arc, over 180 degrees up and down and left and right. I couldn't see because the light was shinning in my face as well as everywhere else.

A piece of black tape on the top part of the light and I was soon on my way. An easy fix to this if it happens to you.

Still riding with it and it is still working well. It's getting a bit darker every morning this time of year.

As other have noted this light shouldn't be counted on to light your way in the dark (I usually ride on lighted streets) but it will make you much more visible to others on the road.

Customer Review: Not durable

This bag lasted for me less then a month before first tear on the bottom seam started showing. It couldn't hold a 4ft cable lock and basic tire repair kit, with total weight of 1-1.5 lb, using on city streets.

The whole design of holding strap seamed to very thin type of fabric (I wouldn't dare call it a "ballistic nylon" because of it's thickness, otherwise it sure looks like it) is a flaw. There are no reinforcements of any sorts and all the stress from content weight is in two places: where sides seamed to the bottom, straight down from where straps is sewed to the sides.

Since it has hard plastic insert, which covers top and bottom of the bag, one would expect that it would participate in holding the bag together, but it doesn't, it only uses to preserve the shape of the bag.

If the designers would put an reinforcement strap from side to side that runs across the bottom of the bag it would be perfect and much more durable.
I realize that the problem I had maybe due to defective item or maybe I didn't let the top straps relax and made them little too tight. I will check that with my next bag which won't be made by BELL.
The bottom line - I would not recommend this bag for more then carrying a large cookie in it (my apology to the the previous reviewer for this sarcastic analogy)

This is a great running light (in flashing mode) and an adequate backup light for illumination at night. I would not use it as my main night illumination unless you are on a well lit road. It's just too dim for good visability on a dark road (unless you mount 2 or 3 of them). The mount is perfectly adequate and the price is typically Planet Bike user-friendly. I like it a lot.

Customer Review: Not easy to put together/Doesn't shift smoothly

First these things are not easy to put together yourself. Especially the brakes. YOu have to adjust over and over. The bike is sturdy and will fit a child carrier on the back. It didn't come with the pouch behind the seat like pictured, but that doesn't affect the bike itself. It just would have been nice to have and was expected. I give it a 4 out of 5 because the directions were not the easist to read and some of the pictures didn't have the same parts the bike has. But it is a good dependable bike if you get someone else to put it together for you. The best part is, it has a steel frame, which means it is less likely to bend under pressure.

Customer Review: Good looking, poor quality

This is a very good-looking bike, but it is essentially a cheap machine. The gears keep shifting by themselves (even after manually-graduating several times) and the tires need to be pumped everyday before riding the bike. However, this is a good choice if you are looking for a cheap bicycle that will take you around the city.

Customer Review: Good for the price
The Huffy Teton for women is a nice, reliable and comfortable bike for anyone out there that's looking for simplicity. I shopped around for bikes recently and most prices out there are too high for what they offer, so if you're not planning on spending much money this would probably be a great option.

I use this bike as my main means of transportation and it's great for it.
My only recommendation, and it would probably be for any bike, is to keep it inside if possible; it will not only prevent rust from appearing but the brakes and everything will last longer.

I guess it's ok

I read all the reviews and thought it was a bad idea to buy it but I had very little money and really wanted a beach cruiser so I went for it. When it arrived the box was really beaten up but luckily nothing was bent or dinged. I was amazed that there was nothing to cushion the parts, no packing peanuts, no cardboard inserts. The parts were just thrown in a box.
It didn't come with any instructions so I had to look them up online and print them out. After about a half an hour of assembly I road it for all of a minute when the chain got caught on the chain guard (lol) so I had to bend it a little, it hasn't given me any problems since though. So then I road it again and the handle bar and seat both turned around in their sockets and I almost crashed. So I had to have my boyfriend tighten them so hard that the seat doesn't spin anymore but it will never adjust again, it's permanent where it is.
The handle bar foam is really cheap and I can see it just cracking and falling off in not too long.
The seat is so uncomfortable that my pelvis and tail bone feel bruised after only a 3 mile ride.
The handle bar at it's highest adjustment and the seat at it's lowest adjustment is not at the heights normal beach cruisers should be. A normal beach cruiser allows you to sit up straight while riding whereas this bike I have to bend over slightly because the handlebars are at the same height as the seat (almost like a racing bike).
When I first road it I was quoted saying "This bike is a death trap!". Now admittedly after finagling some of the parts it's no longer a death trap but it is still a reeeeeally cheaply made bike. I have a mountain bike from walmart that was the same price and it's far better quality. I really think you're paying for the style of this bike and not it's parts, otherwise you'd be paying like maybe $50 for it. I will admit this bike looks super cool and it does get me around for fun but if you're planning on using this bike a lot then don't buy it (your butt will thank you).
As soon as I save up money I plan to sell this bike on Craigslist and get an Electra or maybe a Schwinn from a bike store where I can test it out first.

Customer Review: Don't waste your money

This bike breaks often. I wanted the cheapest thing to putt around on, but buying this was a mistake. It was delivered with bent rims, but whatever, it only cost me $100 and I just want to pedal on the beach path. But this breaks all the time (pedal broke off after a month, tubes in tires went flat after a couple b/c of the crappy chinese builders made rims with uneven and sharp interiors...too many other things to list. Spend the extra $50/100 and get something that is NOT huffy.

Very cool, hard to assemble

I bought and assembled a bunch of these along with two other models of bike. These were definitely cooler but take at least twice as long to assemble due to the caliper break and the spedometer. Also, the tires were challenging to pump up since the opening in the plastic wheel covers to get at the valve is pretty small.

great bike, bad packing job

We got this little bike for our 3 yr old, when her big bro got a new bike for Christmas as well. It's a solid enough first bike... not too heavy, easy to work. I docked it a star because it was poorly packaged, so that some sharp component had pierced the seat. Fortunately, our daughter has not noticed or cared, so we haven't had to explain why "Santa" screwed up the seat. All in all, a good bike for it's purpose.

Customer Review: Pleased Grandmother in California

This was perfect for my 3 year old grandson for Christmas. This 12" bike should be a great one for him to learn to ride without the training wheels because he can balance himself by putting his feet down. He has a 14" bike that he still needs help getting onto.

Only problem was the front plackard with the flashing lights. The holders snapped off while trying to get them on. Grandpa thinks he can rig something else up to keep it on.

The Right Size
Fit is crucial for comfort, control, and proper power and endurance on a bike. Here are some basic bike fit tips:

Stand-over Height--To find out if a bike's overall height fits your body, measure your inseam. Next, determine how much clearance you'll need between your crotch and the top tube of the bike. For a mountain bike, you'll want three to five inches of clearance. A road bike should offer between one and two inches of clearance, while a commuter bike should have two to four inches. Compare the stand-over height for a given bike to your measurements (inseam + clearance) to determine the right bike height.
Top Tube Length--You can measure your torso to get a good estimate of proper top tube length. First, make a fist and extend your arm. Measure from the center of your fist to the end of your collarbone (the part that intersects your shoulder). Next, measure your torso by placing a book against your crotch with the spine facing up. Measure from the spine to the bottom of your throat (the spot between your collarbones). Finally, add the two measurements (arm length + torso length), divide the number in half, and subtract six inches. This is your approximate top tube length. Compare this number to a bike's posted top tube length. You can allow for about two inches longer or shorter, as most bikes can be adjusted via stem length/height and saddle fore/aft position to make fine adjustments to the fit.
Bikes for Women--Proportionally, women tend to have a shorter torso and longer legs than men. Bike makers design women's bikes that offer a shorter top tube and many comfort/cruiser bikes built for women may also provide more stand-over clearance.

my son's old bike kept getting flat tires since we moved into the county on a crushed granite gravel road and was having other issues so I bought this one for him; It went toghether pretty easy (he and I put it together in half an hour) although you must provide the tools (I had to buy an Allen wrench to tighten the handle bars which is why I gave the bike a 4 instead of a 5 - would have liked them to provide the tool). It arrived pretty much untouched, except one small ding in the front fender, but it's hardly noticeable. It's really cute and is just what i was looking for in a cruiser! Assembly was a bit aggravating though because a design flaw in the front fender made it really hard to align and I had to makeshift a way for it to work. Other than that it was really not too difficult! The color is really nice, more gold than vanilla on the actual body but its really shimmery and pretty.

Customer Review: Pretty but not good
It's very pretty and my daughter really loved it. However, we ended up returning it after one day.
The pedal fell off continuously. The manufacturer didn't make the pedal insert area properly.
Instead of spinning, the pedal would unwind itself and fall off. It was annoying at first then
became dangerous as the pedal fell off in the middle of riding on the road. The floor model was
doing this when we were trying it out at the store. We assumed it was due to over-use from the
potential customers. It turns out that the bike parts are all made improperly.

This bike is nice now that I have it put together. It was damaged a bit in shipping. I had to take it to a bike shop to really get it adjusted properly. They charged me $50, but now it is all tuned up like a new bike should be.

Poorly made and dangerous
I bought the Schwinn Suburban about two years ago and I'm very disappointed. The crank to which the pedals are affixed hits the front tire whenever I turn the wheel in either direction. So the pedals are scraping up against the tire when it is turned. I can only go straight safely.

This was not a cheap bicycle but it is very dangerous to ride. I recommend that you see it before you buy it, if you are considering it.

Bang For The Buck!!
Sure this bike probably can't compare to the more expensive bikes you get at the local bike store...HOWEVER, if your main use for this bike is commute, or the only surfaces you bike are on paved bike paths, trails with no more than 1-foot drops, then this bike will do the job to satisfaction. I am only getting into biking after many years of driving cars, so I'm still not 100% sure if I'm going to fall in love with this sport. Once I decide that I am really into this sport, and start going into the woods or mountains where I'll be taking 5-foot drops, I will definitely get a $1000+ bike. But I digress. This bike feels very solid, and so far I have had no mechanical problems whatsoever and I ride it about 45 miles a week on the street and bumpy trails. Luckily, one of my engineering design projects in school have been on human-powered vehicles, giving me a chance to learn about the mechanics of bicycle components; so I am decent at tuning bikes, so that may attribute to why my bikes have had no problems like a loose handle bar. Don't let the snobby mountain bikers, who worships their local bike shops and only buy $2000 bikes, steer you away from buying this bike. Use this bike to decide whether or not you really enjoy this sport, in the end you'll be much happier!

Great bike for the money
I love this bicycle. I ride it to work almost every day and its a lot faster than a mountain bike. It allows me to go at least 3mph faster with the same effort and that is a big difference when you have to do mileage.
I read in some websites how to get the right frame size and it worked perfect for me. The bike feels very compact light and comfortable. Even the seat is comfortable.

I found it relatively easy to put the bicycle together as the important parts were already assembled. The only thing I needed to do was take it to a bike shop to align the gears. I would buy it again without a doubt.

Great value
The road bike has gotten extremely snotty recently and one bike shop I called to put this bike together decided to tell me why I shouldn't have bought this bike but I have to say I really like it. The only objection from people seems to be the weight but I don't see how a few pounds can change this bike to one that costs from 100% to 500% more. I spent $80 to have a professional assemble and tune it and have had no problems with it. I bought this as a starter bike and I imagine I'll have to get much much better before I'll need to upgrade. I can't think of anything wrong with it. Since I wrote this I've had 6 flat rear tires and ended up needing to buy a new back wheel. apparently the deep canals of the wheels were the problem. It wasn't a cheap fix but all in all it's still cheaper than other road bikes and a great value.

GMC Topkick Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike

Received bike within 2 days of purchace on the first time PRIME trial offer. Bike was in good condition with the exception of the front disk. The disk was a little bit warped but due to hazards of shipping, i didnt complain as i was able to tweak it into its original shape with some needlenose pliers and a little tension. I did have exact item instructions included with my bike for the Promax disk brakes as well as a general bike manual. Not a whole lot of instructions were needed to come with this set-up however, but i did look back on it upon completion for assurance. So far bike seems to hold together very sturdy and comfort is no issue for my body at 6'1". I shopped around for other bikes with front and rear disk brakes and this was by far the best bike i found for the price. I wasnt too sure of it at first but now i am quite pleased at the quality i recieved and at my bank account for the money i didnt toss away. This bike is also much better looking in person than the one average and small photo that any and all retailers share for this bike. Also, I am not a real fan of the motor company and model it mimicks but as long as its core duties hold to the quality expected, then i could care less if it had Volkswagen printed on it.

Pretty OK
I have had this bike for about a month now and ride it every day, mostly in town. It's nothing fancy. I bought it (not from Amazon) fully assembled, but had to tweak the brakes. I really don't know much about bikes and had not had one in 15 years. The bike is really nothing too fancy. The frame is a little more compact and I also experienced the problem with the tire hitting my foot on sharp turns. I thought I just had big feet. It isn't too much of a problem. I like my little bike.

UNBEATABLE!!!
This bike is more that worth the money. I just paid $136.00 here for the white one. Actually it's metallic pearl & looks WAY better than the picture. Full chrome moly (frame, fork & handlebars) puts this bike in the $400.00+ range. I'm not spending the additional $264.00+ to impress friends with a name (sticker) for the same thing as far as build quality. It's all about the rider anyway.
VERY strong. VERY smooth. BEAUTIFUL bike. Lifetime frame warranty. On par with a HARO F4 which retails at $405.00.

Disappointing....
My daughter begged us for this scooter for her 12th birthday. She was so excited when she got it. She loves riding it, but she gets so frustrated because the battery never stays charged for long. After charging it, the scooter is pretty quick when she first starts riding it, but it doesn't take long before it gets really, really slow. She usually only averages about 10 minutes on it before coming into the house and plugging it in again. She loves riding it, but it needs a longer lasting battery. You definitely need a second battery so that one is charged all the time.

This is the second year we have bought several scooters, this year the ones with seats. The kids love them but with two have had multiple problems keeping the chain on. A bit frustrating for the price involved. Mom In California

son enjoys - pain for parents
The biggest disappointment was that the Christmas gift arrived with a defunct battery. Razor replaced the battery. There is a big notice on the handle bars that states that the scooter cannot be left in freezing temps. That info is nowhere to be found in the product description. It's post Christmas and the low tomorrow is 13* in NC. We have to keep the scooter, which is large, in the laundry room. The battery is not easily accessed otherwise we would just remove the battery and bring it inside. The tire stems are difficult to access to add air. We have a nice pump but have to purchase an adapter to put air in the tires. So far this product has not been worth our money however, our son has enjoyed riding it.

Fun and sturdy
This was my daughters b-day gift for her 10th. We had it delivered to Florida to my in-laws so it would be there for our winter vacation. It was perfect. Here eyes lit up at the unexpected surprise. She donned the pink safety helmet we bought to go with it then took off like a shot!

The product is very sturdy and keeps a good charge. As a mother, I like that it doesn't go "too fast". I do wish the handle bars were adjustable enough to be pulled up a bit as she is tall for her age. However, my daughter doesn't seem to complain about it.

I think Razor has good product and I would recommend it! PS. Get the helmet too... it makes a parent feel better!!

Great Product for my 8-year old
The razor is everything and more for my 8-year old son. Easy to assemble and very durable. My son and his best friend have ridden it quite a bit since Christmas, when we bought it. It holds its charge for at least 2 hours if not longer. Had one little issue initially with some rocks getting into the chain and jamming, but was easy to repair and have not had another issue since. I wish they had one for 200 lbs men to ride!

I purchased this for my 10 yr old daughter. I was impressed with how easy it was to assemble. The only thing that was an issue- having to wait the 18 hours for the battery to charge before using.

After charging (next day)- she has had a blast with it. She wears a helmet while riding it because it actuals goes around 10-12mph. That is quicker than you think when standing on a skatebaord sized platform.

The charge lasts about 30-45 minutes of continuous use. She weighs 70 pounds. The maximum weight for this scooter is 125 pounds.

WE (she) loves it. A great gift. But child must be responsible or you can get hurt.

OK, bike
I had a problem with this bike. At first, it came without a seat, so I had to send it back, and also, bike didn't look new, dirty wheels, some scratches. Replacment came very fast, but it was hard to put together, a front wheel didn't fit into the fork, so I had to take the bike to a bike shop, pay $[...] for assembling and tunning the rest. BTW, instruction for this bike doesn't match this bike at all. The instruction that came with the bike is for an adult bike, it's useless.

Both of my daughters have a mongoose bike and I would recommend this brand to anyone who wants to purchase a sturdy, stylish, and dependable bike for their child.

Very Pleased...
I bought this as a christmas present for my 10 year old son...he absolutely loved it since day one. Two minor details is that the kick stand indeed keeps coming loose so we decided to take it off. Also the brakes are quite a pain to adjust so we took the front brakes off as well. It is pretty sturdy and has good looks, even the thief that stole it,loved it....apparently.
